Three Questions to: Riham Fakhry

by Olga Irmen

Until she was nineteen Riham Fakhry lived in Egypt, where she graduated from a german high school. Afterwards she moved to Germany for studying computational engineering at the “Technische Universität Darmstadt.” Now she works as a Services Consultant at APIIDA AG.

1. How did you join APIIDA?

Riham: The first contact with APIIDA was during the IUNO project. The main focus was on research and the development of IT security solutions in Industry 4.0. accessec GmbH is part of this exciting project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Consequently, I got to know Sebastian Rohr (CEO of accessec and CTO of APIIDA). After a successful cooperation in the project, he asked me if I would like to work for APIIDA AG. I did not have to think twice and gladly accepted the offer.

2. What is your job about?

Riham: My job is versatile. On the one hand, I am responsible for the monitoring and controlling project, on the other hand, I actively participate in various projects myself. For example, I’m currently part of a project that supports a big car company in IT security issues such as Identity and Access Management. The best thing about my job is the variety. On the one hand, the industry is generally in constant change, on the other hand, I take different roles and get to know many new people. The versatility and responsibility are also the major challenges – but they help me growing.

3. Why is APIIDA as an employer so attractive to you?

Riham: The growth of the APIIDA allows me to continuously expand my knowledge. At the same time, the size of the company is perfect to get insights in topics of other areas of responsibility. Thanks to this, my understanding of business processes increases constantly. I also like the corporate culture. The team is very international and so I have the opportunity to get to know cultures from all over the world. The team is, however, the biggest advantage: because colleagues have become friends.
